Show Your Colours: Acorns Children’s Hospice Takeover Match This Saturday

Walsall not only welcome Port Vale to town this weekend, but the match will also see guests from Acorns Children’s Hospice in attendance.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsSaturday afternoon's meeting between the Saddlers and Port Vale at the Poundland Bescot Stadium will be extra special as the club proudly hosts the Acorns Children’s Hospice Takeover Match.

Acorns Children’s Hospice provides vital specialist palliative care for children with complex medical needs while offering families the chance to create lasting memories. Their dedicated team ensures children can enjoy a happy and homely environment, filled with activities tailored to their needs.

To show your support, we’re encouraging all supporters to wear red to the game. You can also make a £5 donation by texting ACORNS to 70085 (texts cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message).

A £5 donation could provide lunch and dinner for a family member staying with their child at an Acorns hospice. If everyone at the match donated £5, Saddlers fans could help fund an entire day’s worth of care and support for children and families across the West Midlands. What an incredible impact that could have! So please consider donating £5, or whatever you can, today.

Matchday Activities:

  • Fan Zone Gazebo: Visit the Acorns information point to learn more about their incredible work.
  • Bucket Collections: Volunteers will be stationed around the ground from 10:30am and again at half-time. Donations via card will also be accepted.
  • Half-time Entertainment: Watch Swifty take on Acorns mascot Alex the Acorn in a fun penalty shootout.
  • Hospitality Raffle: Guests in our hospitality areas will have the chance to win a signed Walsall FC ball and shirt.

Join the club in making a difference by supporting this fantastic cause. Turn the stadium red and show your appreciation for Acorns Children’s Hospice!
