Sadler: "We Have to Remain Steady"

Here's how the gaffer saw Walsall's League Two meeting with Barrow.
Walsall's hopes of securing automatic promotion to League One were dealt another blow on Saturday afternoon as they were defeated 2-0 by Barrow at the SO Legal Stadium.

Goals in either half from Aaron Pressley and Emile Acquah saw the Saddlers make it ten games without a win, falling four points behind league leaders Port Vale, who have found form at the right time.

Speaking to the media shortly after full-time, an increasingly under pressure Mat Sadler admitted he could understand why fans are increasingly frustrated, as there appears to be no end to their team's ongoing dip.

Sadler said: "Of course, because we would love to be in better form, and we would love to be winning some of the games that we should've won in the previous weeks.

"But we aren't now, and the repeat for me is that you have to use frustration, you have to use setbacks, you have to use all of these things for motivation.

"Just as much as you're not a world-beating team one week, we move and say we're the world's worst team the second week.

"We have to remain steady with that, but it's for everyone, we need a reaction in terms of that energy and to take the shackles off a little bit more."
