Figures Reveal Significant Increase in Walsall's Agents Fees Spend

The Saddlers splashed the cash in a bid to secure new players over the last two Transfer Windows.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsStatistics, first published by the Football Association, confirm that Walsall spent £146,035 on intermediary fees between 1st February 2024 and 1st February 2025, up significantly from the £51,784 spent during the previous reporting period.

Including the last two transfer windows, clubs in Sky Bet League Two as a whole spent £2,740, 669 (23/24 - £2,421,036), with only Fleetwood Town (£284,407), Port Vale (£262,177), Gillingham (£235,529), Carlisle United (£192,888), Bradford City (£178,548), MK Dons (£158,818) and Doncaster Rovers (£153,040) spending more than the Saddlers.

Clubs in the Championship stumped up £63,201,447 (£61,340,767) to agents and intermediaries, whilst sides in League One spent a total of £7,582,827 (£5,230,033) in a bid to secure their new signings.

Unsurprisingly, the EFL pales in comparison to the Premier League, with clubs in the top flight splashing out £409,137,387 (£409,592,929), with teams such as Chelsea (£60,384,449) and Manchester City (£52,126,339) sparing no expense.
