Walsall boss Mat Sadler has spoken to the media and praised his side for their resilient performance as they left it late to take a share of the spoils against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday afternoon.
Playing in front of over 9,000 fans at the Poundland Bescot Stadium, the Saddlers fell behind to an Omar Bugiel goal with twenty-minutes of the game remaining.
However, following a string of second-half substitutions, defender Taylor Allen bagged his eighth goal of the campaign with a well-taken free-kick from the edge of the area.
Making four of his allotted five substitutions, Sadler insisted he was pleased to see many of his changes impacting the game, though not enough to secure all three points..
Speaking to Express & Star reporter George Bennett, Mat said: "Is it enough? I don't know the answer to that, but it was the least we deserved.
"The first half was quite cagey. Both teams feeling each other out a little bit, not a lot in both really. I thought we came out really strongly in the second half.
"Their goal came against the run of play a little bit because we started to build up a head of steam.
"That sucker punched us a little bit, but I thought the subs we made had a real impact on the game.
"Levi looked a real threat, Albert showed that calmness at times. The legs that they both have, and I thought George and Evan also contributed."
