Walsall boss Mat Sadler praised his players' character as they twice levelled the scores to secure an awayday point against Bromley on Thursday evening.
Falling behind to Ben Thompson's seventh-minute opener, substitute Levi Amantchi scored in first-half stoppage time to take the game into the break on level terms.
Bromley re-rook the lead in the second half as Harry McKirdy lifted the ball over Saddlers stopper Sam Hornby, only for Jamille Matt to grab his twelfth goal of the season as the spoils were shared.
Speaking to Express & Star reporter George Bennett, Sadler said: "There's not been too many times when we've gone behind in that manner, but the first game against Bromley was a little bit of a ding-dong like this one in many ways.
"I thought it was a performance full of character after around thirty minutes. The goal knocked the stuffing out of us a little bit, and I just felt like we maybe played into their hands for the next fifteen minutes.
"We rode that and once we started getting into the front, I thought we looked a different team and their defence got deeper and deeper from that point onwards.
"It's disappointing we didn't win, but I have to be proud of the performance and the character from our group.
"Another point away from home isn't a bad thing, and we move on."
