Walsall have completed the signing of Bromley forward Levi Amantchi, who has joined the club on an 18-month contract, with the option of a further year.
"Levi is a very good athlete, he’s quick, left-footed, can drive past players and will be a physical presence for us.
"He’s something different to what we’ve currently got, and that’s the type that I wanted to bring in."
Signing for an undisclosed fee, the 24-year-old, who stands at six foot three, joined the Ravens from National League South side Maidstone United in December 2023, where he scored some thirteen league goals in just twenty league games.
After playing youth football for Wallsend Boys Club, Amantchi began his professional career with Chesterfield in 2018 and featured fifteen times.
Levi also enjoyed loan spells with the likes of Mickleover Sports, Blyth Spartans, Workington, Darlington, Redditch United, and Potters Bar Town, whilst also spending time on trial with Middlesbrough.
The 2022/23 season was a fruitful one for the striker. He started the campaign at Braintree Town in National League South before switching to National League North outfit Brackley Town. He scored twelve goals across that campaign as both clubs finished in the Play-Off places.
He then joined The Stones in June 2023 where his prolific spell prompted Bromley to acquire his signature and he played his part in helping them win promotion to the EFL.
Speaking via the club's official website, Head Coach Mat Sadler admitted he's pleased with his latest acquisition having monitored his progress, he said: "I’ve known Levi for a good year or so now from his time at Maidstone, and he absolutely ripped up the league there twelve months ago so he was very much on my radar then.
"Unfortunately for me, he got injured at that time, and he managed to get his move to Bromley. I’ve made sure I’ve watched a hell of a lot of him since then.
"He ripped it up in pre-season for them, scored a lot of goals, but he hasn’t had the game time that he would have wanted, so when I had the opportunity to sign him, he was someone that I wanted to bring in.
