Sadler Pleased as Walsall's Winning Run Continues

Here's how the gaffer saw Walsall's League Two meeting with MK Dons.
Walsall boss Mat Sadler has praised his players as they made it nine wins in as many league games with a 4-2 triumph over mid-table Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday afternoon.

Goals from David Okagbue, Liam Gordon, Harry Williams and Albert Adomah saw the Saddlers maintain their twelve point advantage at the top of the League Two table.

As Nathan Lowe has returned to parent club Stoke City, veteran duo Jamille Matt and Albert Adomah led the line at the Poundland Bescot Stadium, and both entered performances that pleased their manager.

Speaking to the assembled media shortly after referee Scott Oldham had called for full-time, Sadler first offered an update on Matt, who was forced off during the latter stages of the contest, he confirmed: "(Jamille) Just cramped up.

"As soon as I saw that, I was like, get him off now. Albert will still be playing at seventy-two.

"There's still every chance he'll still be out there. The pair of them were the focal point for so much of that.

"Albert scores, but the defenders score a couple of goals today. But the work put in by those guys to just be that presence for the team and presence for everything.

"It's so important for us. We respect that, and now we rest up and go again. Albert has played two 90 minutes this week, and you'd never know that.

"They were both amazing, and it was also great to see Josh Gordon back out there. His press for the fourth goal helped make that."
