Walsall made their way to West Yorkshire and the University of Bradford Stadium on Saturday afternoon as they look on Bradford City in their latest Sky Bet League Two outing of the season.
It was the home side that took the lead when Antoni Sarcevic was the beneficiary of some sack Saddlers defending. A superb strike from the midfielder.
Bradford doubled their lead late in the first half as Sarcevic turned provider for Alex Pattison, who happily guided the ball past Simkin and into the back of the net.
Pattison added the Bantams' third early in the second forty-five, as yet more poor defending cost Walsall dear.
Walsall were given an opportunity to get themselves back in the contest as Oisin McEntee was felled inside the area, however Danny Johnson saw his spot kick saved.
