Jack Earing Facing Three Months Out Following Ankle Surgery

The Saddlers have been dealt a major blow as midfielder Jack Earing is set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall boss Mat Sadler has confirmed that midfielder Jack Earing is facing up to three months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on an injury he picked up in late December.

Earing, who has made twenty-eight first-team appearances so far this season, suffered an ankle injury during the Saddlers' 2-0 triumph over Newport County on Sunday, 29th December.

After undergoing a scan last week, the midfielder is set for another lengthy spell of rehabilitation, with the gaffer hoping to welcome him back before the end of the current campaign.

Speaking to Express & Star reporter George Bennett, Sadler confirmed: "Jack had surgery on his ankle.

"Hopefully we'll see him before the end of the season but he'll be out for a bit of time. Maybe around ten to twelve weeks, something like that.

"Whenever that takes us to, either into April or just before but around about that time."
