Walsall Duo Facing Spells on the Sidelines

The gaffer has provided us with an update on two of his players following a disappointing afternoon in WS1.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall boss Mat Sadler has confirmed that midfielders Jamie Jellis and Brandon Comley are facing spells on the sidelines after being forced off during the Saddlers' FA Cup defeat to Charlton Athletic.

The match was nothing short of a disaster for the Saddlers as, along with exiting the competition with a 4-0 drubbing, Jellis and Comley joined Priestley Farquharson, Dylan Thomas, and Josh Gordon on the injury list.

Jamie Jellis was forced off midway through the first-half with a calf issue whilst Brandon Comley soon followed him down the tunnel with what is believed to be a broken jaw.

Speaking to the assembled media, including Express & Star reporter Luke Powell shortly after full-time, Sadler confirmed: "Jamie felt his calf, so that was disappointing, so that looks like we will probably miss him for a couple of weeks.

"We will have to see though and how they look. Comley’s looked a bad one, someone said he suffered a broken jaw, but I don’t know.

"That is what the squad is for. Comley got hurt crashing into a challenge, it is what it is. Jamie puts so much into the games that it's just unfortunate that he has picked up a little nick.

"But, that is what the squad is there for and we all believe that we have got a good enough squad and I am going to need them all in the way I knew we would."
