Walsall midfielder Ronan Maher was on the scoresheet as Tamworth made it through to the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup with a penalty shoot-out victory over Burton Albion on Sunday afternoon.
After playing out a goalless draw in normal time both Tamworth and Burton scored in extra time, with the Lambs ultimately progressing by four penalties to three.
It was the Brewers that took the lead as Mason Bennett slammed the ball into the back of Jas Singh's net, but that wasn't the decisive goal as Ronan was alert to a loose ball and fired home at the back post after a Tom McGlinchey was parried.
The Lambs will now await the draw for the Third Round with a potential money-spinning time against a Premier League side in the offing.
