Walsall were back in action on Boxing Day as they welcomed Doncaster Rovers to the Poundland Bescot Stadium as they looked to make it twelve league games without defeat.
The first goal of the game didn't arrive until the early stages of the second-half, as on-loan Stoke City striker Nathan Lowe grabbed his eleventh league goal of the campaign.
The Saddlers doubled their lead with just over ten minutes of normal time remaining as Harry Williams headed the ball home from a well-placed Jamie Jellis free-kick.
