PRE-MATCH VIEWS
The table-topping super Saddlers return to action this weekend as they take on Harrogate Town in North Yorkshire.
After making it ten league games unbeaten with a narrow 1-0 win over recent strugglers Barrow last weekend, the team is presented with more opposition that is in dire need of a return to form.
Winning just two of their last nine league games, Harrogate will reach this weekend's contest on the back of a trio of defeats and sit just a few places above the relegation zone, though with a healthy points advantage over the bottom two.
Looking back at the Saddlers and their win over Barrow saw Taylor Allen notch his fifth goal of the campaign. Taylor is just one of several players contributing in several aspects so far this season, not only providing opportunities for others but adding goals of their own.
Despite strikers Jamille Matt and Nathan Lowe scoring eighteen goals across all competitions between them, players like Allen, who works hard at either end of the pitch are a dream come true.
With plenty of games ahead, we're certain that the contributions of players such as the aforementioned Allen, along with the likes of Liam Gordon, Connor Barrett and Jamie Jellis will pay dividends when we reach the business end of the campaign.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
There have been only eight competitive meetings between Walsall and Harrogate Town, and it's the Sulphurites that hold a narrow advantage, having won on three occasions compared to the Saddlers' two.
The other three games ended in draws, as there has been little to separate the two teams over the last few campaigns.
The first meeting was played behind closed doors at Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday, 19th September 2020 - Harrogate were in the middle of replacing their synthetic pitch to bring them in line with EFL regulations.
The match was an eventful, high-scoring affair as, despite taking an early lead, the Saddlers left it late to take a share of the spoils as Josh Gordon levelled nine minutes from full-time.
THE LAST TIME WE MET
The most recent meeting took place at the Sulphurites' EnviroVent Stadium on Saturday, 24th February 2024 and saw the Saddlers win by tow-goals-to-nil.
The first-half ended goalless, but the same couldn't be said for the second as the Saddlers took the lead with just a couple of minutes played as Liam Gordon finished off a neat attacking move to place the ball into the bottom corner of the goal.
Walsall went on to double their lead with just over five-minutes of the game remaining, as on-loan West Brom man Mo Faal came off the bench to slam the ball home via a deflection off defender Liam Gibson.
MATCH OFFICIALS
The EFL has confirmed that Sam Mulhall who is based in Cheshire will take charge of the match with Danny Jarvis and Simon Clayton being named as assistant referees, whilst Kevin Mulraine has been selected as Fourth Official.
