Walsall boss Mat Sadler sought to thank the travelling support after seeing the Saddlers earn a narrow 1-0 win over Port Vale at a wet and windy Vale Park.
Taking the lead via Jamille Matt's sixth goal of the season with just six minutes of the second-half played, Walsall were able to thwart their hosts' advances and knock them off the top of the League Two table.
Backed by a few hundred shy of three-thousand fans, the team once again demonstrated great play off the ball, allowing their opponents to control large swathes of the ball but without too much threat in the final third.
Speaking to the assembled media, including the Express & Star, Mat said: "The first goal and set plays were always going to be hugely influential.
"You never know if it's good to go with the wind or against the wind and I think it played out in that manner.
"The conditions were horrendous. But to have two-thousand eight hundred supporters come on a day like this and in weather like this was unbelievable.
"I don't really want to analyse the game that much. The biggest thing was the two moments that they got to share and nearly Nathan when he had his chance.
"But the one when Jamma scores and then the celebrations at the end there."
