Walsall played host to League One Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday evening as they played their third and final group game of the 2024/25 Bristol Street Motors Trophy.
Already safely through to the next stage, Saddlers boss Mat Sadler was afforded the option of shuffling his squad as they continue to defy the odds across several competitions so far this season.
Walsall grabbed the opening goal of the game early in the second half as Reyes Cleary snook in at the back post to slam the ball over the line.
George Hall doubled the Saddlers' lead a few minutes after the sixty-minute mark as he popped the ball over the onrushing 'keeper and into the back of the net.
Second-half substitute Nathan Lowe came off the bench to head home the Saddlers' third. The on-loan Stoke City man making it ten goals in all competitions.
