Douglas James-Taylor started as Drogheda United took on Bray Wanderers in the SSE Airtricity Men's Promotion/Relegation Play-Off at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin on Saturday afternoon.
Fresh off their FAI Cup victory over Derry City last weekend, the Drogs were in fine form against Bray as a goal from James Bolger and a Frantz Pierrot brace saw them retain their place in the LOI Premier League for at least another campaign. Harry Groome netted a late consolation for the losing side.
DJT didn't complete the full ninety minutes as he was replaced by Adam Foley some eighteen minutes from time, but he did create a few openings, with his first effort coming inside the first minute of the game.
George Barrett started as Lye Town took on Bedworth United in the Northern Premier League — Midland Division at the Sports Ground in Lye.
The first goal of the game went the way of the visitors as Kane Auld slotted the ball past George midway through the first-half.
The second goal of the contest was also scored by Bedworth as Elliot Parrott scored with sixty-six minutes played.
Despite their lead, Bedworth didn't take all three points as Lye mounted an injury time comeback when Sam Hall and Ewan Edwards netted after the ninety-minute mark to secure a welcome point for their team.
Jenson Kilroy started as Hereford Pegasus made their way to the Save on Tyre Stadium and took on Highworth Town in the Hellenic League Premier Division.
The home side grabbed the opening goal of the game as Leon Morrison found the back of the net with sixteen minutes of the first-half played.
Highworth's second goal arrived late in the second-half as Sol Pryce score, sealing the win for his side.
