Walsall midfielder Jamie Jellis is the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month winner for October following his sweeping strike against Grimsby Town.
Jellis judged the trajectory and bounce of a wayward pass to perfection, cushioning the ball with his chest before sweeping home a sweet volley as it dropped in one smooth movement.
Speaking via EFL.com, Jellis said: "It’s a really proud moment for me.
"It’s great to get recognised for the strike and it was a good result in the end so I’m buzzing with that and to make memories for myself and my family.
"Thank you to everyone who voted for me, I really appreciate it."
Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman added: "You can never look too far past a long-range volley for Goal of the Month and Jellis’ strike was a worthy winner in League Two.
"Never has a misplaced defensive pass been punished so emphatically! He intercepted the pass on his chest and struck a perfect volley in one seamless movement and it flew into the back of the net in stunning fashion."
Jellis overcame competition from Port Vale’s Antwoine Hackford, Bradford City’s Jack Shepherd and AFC Wimbledon’s James Tilley.
The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month were selected by a panel of experts and a public vote.
The panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL experts Don Goodman and David Prutton.
