A young Walsall XI made its way to Pack Meadow on Monday evening as they took on Coleshill Town in the First Round of the Walsall Senior Cup.
Walsall named a team that was predominantly made up of first and second-year scholars, with the likes of Jenson Kilroy, who is currently enjoying a loan spell with Hereford Pegasus, and Caden Bennett, who recently made his international debut for St. Kitts & Nevis, among the team.

After reaching the Quarter Final of last season's competition hopes were high for another strong run in the competition. However, two goals from striker Joe Palmer proved to be enough to see Coleshill through to the Second Round at the expense of the young Saddlers.
Walsall's Under-18s will have other cup competitions to try and make advances in as well as the EFL Youth Alliance - North and Youth Alliance Cup.
