George Barrett retained his starting spot as Lye Town took on Wellingborough Town at the Sports Ground on Saturday afternoon.
The match ended in a narrow win for Lye as striker Keanu Cooper opened the scoring ten minutes into the first-half, and Barrett pulled off several fine saves to hold the lead, and with it, the points.
Jenson Kilroy was also among the starters as Hereford Pegasus slipped to a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Roman Glass St. George. The only goal of the game arrived in the dying stages of the second-half as Jenson was eventually thwarted despite a string of saves.
Charlie Wragg added more match minutes as he and his Bromsgrove Sporting teammates took were held to a goalless draw by Banbury United. Wragg saw a couple of efforts go close but was ultimately unable to guide his side to the win.
Meanwhile, Douglas James-Taylor started as Drogheda and Waterford played out a goalless draw at the Waterford Regional Sports Centre on Friday evening.
With the Drogs facing the very real prospect of a relegation play-off, the result does very little to ease their woes, as the fixture list continues to shrink.
Whilst Rico Browne was unavailable for selection as Tamworth secured their place in the First Round (proper) of the Emirates FA Cup with a 4-2 victory over Macclesfield.
