Walsall goalkeeper Tommy SImkin has been named in the England Elite League squad, formerly Under-20s, for their upcoming matches against Türkiye and Romania.
Selected by Paul Nevin, the squad consists of players from up and down the professional ranks with Tommy joining the likes of Jobe Bellingham and fellow Potter, Emre Tezgel, who was once linked with a move to WS1.
Simkin has enjoyed a solid start to life in the Black Country and will likely start as the Saddlers take on Cheltenham Town on Saturday afternoon.
England travel to Istanbul to play Turkiye on Friday, 6th September, kicking- off at 5.00pm, before welcoming the Romanians to Edgeley Park in Stockport the following Tuesday, with kick-off there set for 7.00pm.
