Walsall returned to Carabao Cup action on Tuesday evening as they welcomed League One side Huddersfield Town to WS1 as they met in Round Two of the competition.
After suffering their first defeat of the season at the weekend, the Saddlers were keen to cause something of an upset and secure their place in Wednesday's Third Round draw.
The first goal of the game went the way of the visitors as Josh Koroma slotted the ball into the back of Sam Hornby's net from the edge of the Walsall area.
Walsall's pain from the spot shows no signs of ending as Nathan Lowe saw a spot-kick saved early in the second forty-five, the on-loan Stoke City man will believe he could have done better.
Just to add to the Saddlers' woes, Josh Ruffels added the second goal of the game eight minutes into the half as the Terriers looked set for a place in the Third Round.
Lowe was soon able to right a few wrongs as he grabbed his first goal in a Walsall shirt to give the Saddlers, who had a man advantage after Matty Person saw red in the first half, looked to get themselves back on level terms.
The Saddlers got themselves back on level terms with twenty-minutes of the half remaining as Lowe dragged the team back from the brink, with a fine goal from the youngster.
Walsall completed their remarkable comeback some thirteen minutes from time when substitute Liam Gordon, via Terriers defender Michal Helik, fired the ball into the back of the net booking a place in the next round.
