Walsall could be without one of this season's stronger performers when they take on Tranmere Rovers on Saturday afternoon as forward Josh Gordon is a major doubt after picking up an injury.
Gordon, who netted the winning penalty in the Saddlers' shoot-out victory over Exeter City earlier this month, limped off during last weekend's 4-0 thrashing of Swindon Town, just minutes after opening the scoring.
The former Leicester City man has been in solid form over the opening few weeks of the season, providing a much-needed attacking threat whilst also supporting his teammates as Walsall remain unbeaten in 2024/25.
It is understood that Gordon has suffered a hamstring injury that could see him sit out the trip to Prenton Park after picking up the issue shortly after scoring.
