Walsall Assistant Head Coach Gary Waddock has been issued with a one-match touchline ban following an incident during the Saddlers' season-opening victory over Morecambe at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
Waddock, who has also received a £250 fine after admitting misconduct at an FA tribunal, was sent off late in the first half of the match that saw Taylor Allen net the only goal of the game as Walsall began the season with a win.
Published via the Football Association's social media accounts, the statement reads: Walsall's Gary Waddock has been banned from the touchline for one match and fined £250 following their EFL League Two game against Morecambe on Saturday 10 August.
It was alleged that the assistant manager acted in an improper manner and/or used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official during the 43rd minute.
Gary Waddock admitted this charge and accepted the standard penalty.
