Club Statement Issued Ahead of 2024/25 Campaign

Walsall FC has issued a statement reaffirming the club's determination to bring the community together through the power of football.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsThe Club has issued a statement calling upon fans to get behind the team as they prepare for Saturday's League Two season-opening meeting with Morecambe.

Published via their official website, Saddlers.co.uk, the statement reads: As we get set to open the 2024/25 League Two campaign and our supporters prepare to attend EFL matches in their thousands, we are very much looking forward to welcoming you all at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

However, as towns and cities up and down the country have been busily preparing for football’s return, we have unfortunately witnessed some unsavoury scenes that no one wants to see repeated, now or in the future.

As a diverse and inclusive club, Walsall Football Club stands firmly against any form of intolerance.

Through the power of the Club badge, football has a unique ability to bring people together.

Over many years, Walsall Football Club has proudly served as a beacon of unity, creating a sense of belonging for people from all backgrounds and providing positive, memorable experiences.

Whether on a Saturday afternoon at The Poundland Bescot Stadium or through the wide range of programmes we offer through the Walsall FC Foundation, we are deeply committed to supporting our community.

Our Foundation’s work extends across the Walsall area, providing crucial support and services to our local people and ensuring everyone feels valued.

We are proud to be part of such a vibrant and diverse community, and we aim to use our platform to support local people while fostering a sense of identity, family, and togetherness.

It is this football and community spirit that continues to win hearts and minds, and why we must do everything in our power to protect and nurture it.

Enjoy the new season.
