Walsall boss Mat Sadler praised his side for their 'fantastic display' following their comfortable 4-0 away win against Swindon Town on Saturday afternoon.
Going into the match on the back of an opening day win over Morecambe and a midweek Carabao Cup triumph over Exeter City, the Saddlers were hoping to maintain their 100% start at the expense of the Robins.
Despite seeing their opponents go close on a couple of occasions, goals from Josh Gordon, Jamille Matt, Taylor Allen, and Albert Adomah, along with a Tommy Simkin clean sheet, saw the Reds climb to the top of the League Two table.
Speaking to Express & Star reporter George Bennett, Sadler said: "I thought it was a fantastic team performance. We had to be a team.
"You come away from home in front of nearly eight-thousand fans, you know you've got to try and quieten them down which I thought we did from the very first whistle.
"We quietened any impetus that they may have had and I thought the first fifteen minutes really set the tempo for the game.
"We had a couple of chances and could've scored. That was pleasing because we wanted to do that and you have to do that when you come away.
"But it was just a proper team performance which has to be the backbone of who we are and what we do.
"Physically we looked really strong and we ran the opposition into the ground in the end which is really pleasing for me to see."
