Walsall boss Mat Sadler has confirmed that former Bristol City, Middlesbrough and Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah is one of a handful of players currently on trial at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
Adomah, a free agent after leaving Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season, played for the opening forty-five minutes of the Saddlers' 3-0 pre-season victory over Alvechurch on Saturday afternoon.
Aged 36, Albert would be the oldest player in the current crop if he were to pen a contract, but Sadler insists the winger has plenty to offer as the Saddlers look to improve upon last season's Play-Off near miss.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Sadler said: "Albert's delivery is probably second to none.
"I think he's still possibly got the best delivery in the Championship let alone if he was to play in League Two.
"There is still some work to be done on that one. We'll see how things pan out.
"Albert has been with us for a few days, not for long, but he's a top pro as you are when you play for as long as he has.
"But I've got some options in that area that I've probably got to make the best decision for in order to bring another one in there.
"You can see when I put the two teams out that I have done today, we've got real good strength in that team.
"Not to mention the right wing-back area, and the same with left wing-back, so we've just got to decide with which one to go with."
