Former Walsall, West Brom and Wolves inside forward Ron Stockin has passed away.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWe are saddened to learn that former Walsall inside forward Ronald 'Ron' Stockin has died at the age of 93.

Born in Birmingham on Saturday, 27th June 1931, Ron began his career with West Bromwich Albion in 1951 before making the move to Fellows Park just a year later.

Making just six league appearances for the Saddlers, Ron netted three goals for the club before going on to add another stop on his tour of the Black Country by joining Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Making twenty-one league appearances, and scoring seven goals, Ron was part of the Wolves team which claimed the club’s first-ever league championship during the 1953/54 season.

Going on to feature for the likes of Cardiff City, Grimsby Town, and Nuneaton Borough, Ron will be sadly missed by his family and friends and we extend our thoughts and wishes to them during this sad time.
