Following the news that Walsall had secured the signature of goalkeeper Sam Hornby, Saddlers Head Coach Mat Sadler has welcomed the stopper to the club.
Hornby, who will compete with on-loan Stoke City 'keeper Tommy Simkin and George Barrett for the number one shirt, offers plenty of experience and Sadler is hoping he'll be able to help the youngsters progress.
Speaking via the club's official website, Mat said: "I’m pleased to get this one over the line. I’ve been really pleased with the way that Sam’s applied himself.
"He did fantastically well against Tamworth, his training’s been really good and what I like about that department now is that we have that bit of experience.
"It’s one we’ve been really careful about who we put alongside Tommy and Sam is the perfect one.
"His help and experience will really help Tommy and George Barrett as well in their development."
