Walsall boss Mat Sadler has offered an update on the status of Saddlers midfielder Brandon Comley, revealing the former Bolton Wanderers man has undergone an x-ray.
Comley, who made some twenty-eight first-team appearances last season, was forced off dring the first-half of Wednesday evening's pre-season defeat to Aston Villa.
Replaced by Ryan Stirk, comley was visibly distressed before being treated and subsequently removed from the game midway through the first-half.
Speaking to the media shortly after full-time, Sadler said: "A valuable exercise, the only blight on it is Coms.
"He has gone to hospital to have an x-ray on his leg if that's general enough.
"He has gone to have an x-ray on that but fingers crossed we get lucky and he's ok."
Goals from Morgan Rodgers (2) and Louie Barry saw Villa secure a comfortable three-nil win at the Poundland Bescot Stadium. You can Read our Match Report, HERE.
