Walsall Linked with Non-League Goalkeeper

The Saddlers have been linked with a move for a non-league goalkeeper ahead of the new campaign.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall have been named alongside a lengthy list of clubs chasing the signature of 25-year-old Buxton goalkeeper Max Dearnley.

Joined in the chase by the likes of Morecambe, Harrogate Town, Halifax Town, and Gateshead, the Saddlers are believed to have the 6ft 6in stopper among their potential transfer targets.

Released by Huddersfield Town at the end of the 2021/22 campaign, Max has made a name for himself in non-league football, producing several clean sheets, attracting interest from a whole host of clubs in the EFL and National League.

Playing for the likes of Farsley Athletic, Chorley, and Buxton, Max has made eighty first-team appearances over the last two seasons, and would be a strong addition for any of the clubs chasing his signature.
