Walsall Drawn into Southern Group A of EFL Trophy

The Saddlers have been pitted against two nearby sides in this season's EFL Trophy group stage.

Walsall have been drawn in Southern Group A in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy and will face two nearby sides that currently ply their trade in Sky Bet League One.

Drawn against Birmingham City and Shrewsbury Town, Walsall will be hoping to make it out of the group stage after last season's disappointing performance saw them exit the competition at the earliest possible stage.

The Saddlers will discover which of the invited Under 21s club will join them in Group A at 2.30pm on Thursday, 27th June as the draw takes place live on Sky Sports News.

Brighton & Hove Albion U21

Chelsea U21

Crystal Palace U21

Fulham U21

Leicester City U21

Tottenham Hotspur U21

West Ham United U21
