Walsall defender Joe Riley has joined Vanarama National League side AFC Fylde on an initial one-year deal, following his release by the Saddlers.
Riley, who was named among a handful of players to leave the club at the end of the month, struggled with injury during his time in WS1, and will be hoping to avoid another lengthy lay-off and secure more match minutes with the Coasters.

Joining the Saddlers from Carlisle United in the summer of 2022, Riley, a former scholar at Manchester United, made just thirty-three first-team appearances over two seasons with the most recent coming in a 1-1 draw against Barrow in March.
Best of luck, Joe!
