Walsall are set to lose one of their star performers as midfielder Isaac Hutchinson is understood to be closing in on a summer switch away from the Poundland Bescot Stadium.24-year-old Hutchinson, who joined the Saddlers from Derby County in the summer of 2022, is believed to be heading to League One side, Bristol Rovers after they triggered an apparent release clause in his current contract.
A ray of light in a somewhat disappointing 2023/24 campaign, Isaac, who penned a new deal in April last year, scored fifteen goals and provided twelve assists across fifty-three first-team appearances.
Managed by former Exeter City and Rotherham United boss Matt Taylor, the Pirates finished 15th in League One last season and will be hoping Isaac can provide the goals and assists to help them improve upon that in 2024/25.
