As Walsall Head Coach Mat Sadler looks ahead to the new campaign, the Saddlers have been linked with a move for Barnet defender Danny Collinge.
26-year-old Collinge is a product of both the Milton Keynes Dons and VfB Stuttgart youth systems and turned pro with Stuttgart in 2017, where he made several appearances for their reserve side.
After leaving Stuttgart in January 2019, Danny later joined Colchester United on an initial two-year deal but was once again unable to make the breakthrough to the first team, insted he enjoyed loan spells with Maldon & Tiptree and AFC Sudbury.
Joining Dover Athletic in the summer of 2021, the centre-back went on to enjoy a strong season, making some 40 appearances before rejecting a new deal in favour of remaining in the National League with Barnet.
A former England U16. 17, and 18 international, Collinge has gone on to make 83 first-team appearances for the Bees and is expected to be on the radar of several clubs as they look to cement their squads ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
