After putting pen to paper on his first professional contract, Walsall midfielder Dylan Thomas has spoken of his desire to make the most of his opportunity.
Thomas, who has been one of the stand-out scholars in an increasingly strong group, has already made his senior debut having featured three times for the first team last season, and is hoping to earn more match minutes in 2024/25.
Dylan told the official website: "It feels amazing and it’s what I’ve been working towards since the age of four/five years old.
"I loved every single minute of last season. If I could mention all the First Team I would because all of them have been so good with me and I’ve learnt so much from all of them.
"Making my debut when I was a scholar wasn’t expected but I came in firing last pre-season, smashed the runs in the Under 18s and went straight up and did what I can so I was grateful to earn my debut and I thank the manager and all the staff.
"To sign was a huge relief and I’m ready to kick on next season."
