The Club has confirmed that, after seeing is Walsall contract extended for another year, striker Douglas James-Taylor will be joining Drogheda United on loan until the end of June 2025, subject to international clearance.
22-year-old James-Taylor has made sixty-three first-team appearances for the Saddlers, across loan and permanent spells, and will officially link up with the League of Ireland outfit from Monday, 1st July.
Drogheda and the Saddlers are both owned by the Alabama-based Trivela Group, with the League of Ireland side likely to serve as something of a feeder team for Walsall, though, clearly, this can go either way if there would be some benefit for players in need of a good standard of regular football.
Good luck, Douglas!
