With the Saddlers' 2023/24 campaign now at a close, attention turns to the next season and just who will make up Mat Sadler's squad.
As several players are due to see their contracts expire at the end of June, rumours are already swirling in terms of which players will make the move to the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
One such player, according to Alan Nixon, is 25-year-old Morecambe midfielder Jake Taylor, who is set to become a free agent in the summer, and has also been linked with Notts County.
Manchester born Taylor, who came through the youth systems of both Manchester United and Nottingham Forest, made thirty-two appearances this season, scoring one goal.
With the likes of Forest, Scunthorpe United, and Port Vale among his former clubs, Taylor has has something of an injury hit career since turning pro in 2019.
Clearly, it's very early days in the Walsall Transfer Rumour Mill, and we'll likely see several more names enter the fold before we see how the squad shapes up for the 2024/25 campaign.
