Walsall were back in League Two action on Easter Monday as they welcomed Salford City to the Poundland Bescot Stadium with the Saddlers looking to rebound from their dismal 5-0 defeat to MK Dons on Good Friday.
Walsall were the side to grab the opening goal of the game as Jamille Matt, who recently returned to fitness, headed home from an Isaac Hutchinson cross with just nine minutes on the clock.
Salford's leveller arrived shortly after the match reached the hour mark as Matty Lund headed the ball beyond Jackson Smith and into the back of the net.
The Saddlers re-took the lead in the second minute of second-half stoppage time as substitute Mo Faal twisted and turned before slamming the ball into the back of the net. A huge result for the Boys from the Bescot.
