Walsall boss Mat Sadler has confirmed that midfielder Tom Knowles could miss the rest of the season after picking up an ankle injury during a recent Saddlers outing.
"He has got to see someone on Friday. Whether we see him before the end of the season or not, we'll have to see.
"It'll be nice if we did but it's touch and go. It's that sort of timeline so you're talking four to six weeks with him."
Knowles was one of two players to be forced off during last weekend's defeat to Forest Green Rovers - striker Jamille Matt also suffering from injury - and is now facing a spell on the sidelines.
When asked about Tom's injury prognosis, Sadler confirmed the former Yeovil Town man is set to see a specialist in a bid to discover the full extent of his injury.
Speaking via the Express & Star, he said: "I don't know with Tom.
