Emmanuel Adegboyega Wins February's Young Player of the Month Award

The central defender was in fine form over the month and deservedly picks up an award.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall defender Emmanuel Adegboyega has been awarded the EFL’s Young Player of the Month award following a stellar month of February.

20-year-old Adegboyega, who joined the Saddlers on loan from Norwich City in January, played a major role in the Saddlers’ rise up the Sky Bet League Two table.

Scoring some three goals in four league appearances, Emmanuel, a former prospect at Drogheda United, helped his temporary team move from the bottom half of the table into Play-Off contention.

His first goal came on his league debut against promotion-pushing Mansfield Town, netting a second-half winner, he went on to score in a 3-0 victory over Morecambe and a 2-1 win against Accrington Stanley as Walsall went on a five-game winning streak.
