Walsall captain Donervon Daniels has picked up the Sky Bet League Two Goal of the Month award for January following his superb strike against Sutton United.
Not content with threading a pass into the Sutton area, central defender Daniels joined in the attack, double-backed and performed the silkiest of side-steps before finding the far corner.
Speaking via the EFL's official website, Daniels said: "I am really happy to have won this award.
"The other goals that were up for the award were also fantastic strikes but it's nice to be recognised for the goal I scored.
"It was my first goal at the Poundland Bescot Stadium, it was a really special moment for me.
"It was a good team move that started on one side of the pitch and was finished on the other side with some nice play between Liam Gordon, Jack Earing and me.
"Knowing that it has been voted for by the supporters now makes it even more special."
Lead Sky Bet EFL Goal of the Month judge and Sky Sports Pundit Don Goodman added: "Daniels capped off a slick Walsall move in some style vs Sutton.
"The centre-back showed attacking movement an inform striker would be proud of, running onto a layoff before skipping past two defenders and rifling a shot into the top corner."
Daniels beat off competition from Wrexham’s Paul Mullin, Harrogate Town’s Abraham Odoh and Colchester United’s Arthur Read.
