Walsall have completed the loan signing of West Bromwich Albion forward Modou 'Mo' Faal, with the 20-year-old moving to the Poundland Bescot Stadium until the end of the current campaign.
"Mo is someone I have looked at for a long time, probably the last 12 or 18 months so I have had a real keen eye on his development.
"It’s fantastic we can get a deal done with one of our local neighbours, those are relationships we want to continue working really hard at."
Born in the Gambia, Faal is a product of both the Baggies and Sutton Coldfield Town youth systems and will go straight into the Saddlers squad for this weekend's League Two clash with Accrington Stanley.
Making just four first-team appearances for West Brom, Mo has spent much of his time out on loan playing for the likes of Hereford, AFC Telford United, AFC Fylde, and, most recently, Doncaster Rovers.
Walsall Head Coach Mat Sadler welcomed Mo to the club, insisting the forward has been in his eyeline for several months.
Speaking via the club's official website, Sadler said; "I’m pleased to get the deal done.
"Mo is someone I have looked at for a long time, probably the last 12 or 18 months so I have had a real keen eye on his development.
"He had a good loan at Fylde and then another really good loan at Doncaster so we’re delighted that he’s chosen us to be the next part of his journey.
"He’s an exciting young player and I’m really looking forward to seeing how he develops over the next few months.
