Walsall have completed the signing of Tamworth midfielder Jamie Jellis, who has penned an initial 18-month contract at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.
23-year-old, Aylesbury-born Jellis spent time with the Stevenage development side before spells with Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Aylesbury United, and Kings Langley.
Initially joining the Lambs on loan in February 2023, Jamie helped his new side to promotion, before joining permanently ahead of the following campaign.
He has gone on to make around fifty first-team appearances for Tamworth and has been regularly linked with teams in the EFL including Notts County, Peterborough United, and Wycombe Wanderers.
Speaking via the club's official website, Head Coach Mat Sadler welcomed Jamie to the club, he said; "I’m really pleased to have signed Jamie.
"We’ve watched Jamie over the last couple of months and he’s done really well at Tamworth so we’ve done a lot of work on him and we’re pleased to get it done because there were a lot of clubs who were after him so we beat off competition to sign Jamie.
"We’re trying to piece things together for not only this season, but for seasons ahead and Jamie fits in to that.
"He’s a box-to-box midfield player with high energy and he fits into the type of player we want here to grow and improve."
