Following the news that he'd penned a new contract that will keep him in WS1 until the summer of 2025, Walsall defender Liam Gordon has welcomed the chance to help the club reach its goals.
Gordon, who is closing in on seventy first-team appearances, also discussed how he has settled into life in the West Midlands with people across the club making him feel comfortable and determined to repay the faith shown in him.
Speaking via the club's official website, Liam said; "I’m delighted to finally get it done. It’s been a conversation that the Head Coach and I have had for quite a while.
"I’ve created such a good relationship with the staff, the boys from this season and the boys from last season, the Chairmen, the whole board and the fans most importantly.
"It feels like a home to me and I’ve settled down here so it’s like a home away from home. I’m happy it’s finally done and I can focus on the plans we have for this season and next season."
