Walsall have confirmed the signing of striker Josh Gordon from League One club Burton Albion, with the former Saddler arriving at Poundland Bescot Stadium on loan until the end of the season.
A familiar face in WS1, Gordon spent three years at the club from 2018 to 2021, joining from Leicester City, where he netted twenty-seven times.
After leaving the West Midlands in 2021, he joined Barrow and enjoyed his best scoring campaign in the 2022/23 season as he netted fifteen times in League Two.
His performances for the Bluebirds caught the eye of the Brewers who he joined last summer and has gone on to make twenty-three first-team appearances.
Speaking via the club's official website, Head Coach Mat Sadler admitted he is pleased to welcome Josh back to the club, he said; "We’re looking forward to having Josh working with us.
"There were multiple clubs in for him in a very tight market for strikers, so we're really pleased to get it over the line.
"I know Josh well; I know his strengths and I know what he will bring to the team. He fits the profile of someone who I want in the dressing room, in the environment but also in terms of work rate, desire, honesty, and willingness to put a shift in.
"I’m looking forward to working with him from this side of the fence as opposed to being a player with him."
