Walsall boss Mat Sadler has confirmed that the club are currently negotiating a contract extension with midfielder Jack Earing.24-year-old Earing recently returned to the first-team following a nearly year-long spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury way back on New Year's Day.
The former FC Halifax Town man, who penned a short-term deal in the summer is nearing the end of his current contract, though Sadler believes an agreement is close to being reached.
When speaking to Express & Star reporter George Bennett, Mat confirmed the status of the negotiations, he said; "Yes ongoing.
"We’re desperate to get it sorted and hopefully, we’re not too far away as well. It’s really close."
