Walsall boss Mat Sadler was pleased as his side made relatively easy work of their non-league opponents during Friday evening's televised FA Cup - First Round meeting with Sheppey United.
Goals from Douglas James-Taylor, Tom Knowles, Ross Tierney, and Isaac Hutchinson saw the Saddlers ease through to the Second Round, this despite James Bessey-Saldanha's first-half opener, a superb strike that would have lit up and game in the competition.
Speaking to the assembled media, including the Express & Star, Mat said; "I think they did exactly what we asked them to do, and we got the shock of our lives amongst it all.
"It would've been really easy for that to be the catalyst of something that it never needed to be.
"We've got a great group there. I thought the athleticism of us in the end coupled with the quality proved to be the difference.
"I was really pleased with everything they did and I thought they were really professional."
