Walsall returned to action on Saturday afternoon as they welcomed Forest Green Rovers to Poundland Bescot Stadium for what was their eighteenth outing of the ongoing League Two campaign.
After enjoying a rare weekend off, a trio of international call-ups forcing last Saturday's clash with Doncaster Rivers to be postponed, the Saddlers should be fit and fresh as they looked to earn three points in their bid to avoid slipping yet closer to the drop zone.
The match itself was a turgid affair with very little in the way of quality in the final third, as neither side was able to find that all-important winning goal as the spoils were shared.
