Walsall defender Liam Gordon was named in the starting eleven as Guyana faced Antigua & Barbuda in their latest Nations League, League B - Group D outing of the competition on Tuesday evening.
After winning all four of their previous group games, Guyana, who saw their meeting with the Bahamas twice postponed due to terrible weather, went into the game sitting atop the table with a healthy three-point advantage over second-placed Puerto Rico, despite having played a game less.
Being played at the Panamericano in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the match was a comfortable one for Guyana as Kelsey Benjamin (7'), Omari Glasgow (36'), and Nathan Moriah-Welsh (45')all netted in the first-half, with Osaze de Rosario, Leo Lovell, and Deon Moore adding a fourth, fifth, and sixth in the second forty-five.
Liam, who will hopefully be back in action for the Saddlers this weekend, played for the full ninety minutes and was heavily involved as he provided assists for Benjamin's seventh-minute opener and Lovell's ninetieth-minute goal as he continues to impress on the international stage.
