Walsall midfielder Jack Earing is set to make a return to football as he is expected to be named in the Saddlers XI to take on Tividale in the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.
Earing, who last played in a 2-1 triumph over Mansfield Town on New Year's Day, has been sidelined with a serious knee injury but is finally nearing a return to first-team affairs.
Saddlers boss Mat Sadler recently confirmed plans for Earing, with the gaffer confirming to Express & Star reporter George Bennett, "Jack will play in the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday. That's the next part of his recovery to play in a game."
The meeting with Tividale, which is in the Second Round of the Senior Cup, is scheduled to take place at The Beeches ground with a 7.45pm kick-off.
